Katja Schenke-Layland (Director of NMI Natural and Medical Sciences Institute) spoke at the BioRN Lounge on November 29, 2022 sharing the vision of NMI as a non-academic research institution at the intersection between academia and industry. Main areas of expertise comprise early target research, biomarker analysis and development, mechanistic evaluation of drug action, and bioanalytics.
The NMI Natural and Medical Sciences Institute supports drug development in close cooperation with industrial clients in a comprehensive range from exploratory research to certified activities. Besides acting as a service provider, NMI is engaged in R&D projects together with industrial and academic partners to implement innovative technologies and validate therapeutic strategies.
