On July 12 we met with Christoph Winterhalter, Senior Vice President Business Development at AGC Biologics. AGC Biologics is a global CDMO providing pharmaceutical development and manufacturing services for protein-based biologics and cell and gene therapies. With seven facilities and scientists across three continents, the company specializes in mammalian and microbial-based therapeutic proteins, recombinant DNA, plasmid DNA (pDNA), Messenger RNA (mRNA), viral vectors, and genetically engineered cells.
The Heidelberg facility serves as a hub for microbial systems and services in the European market. The site is an excellence center for custom pDNA services and currently is growing its mRNA service line.
