The Technology Park is run by the Technologiepark Heidelberg GmbH, a joint venture by the City of Heidelberg and the Rhine-Neckar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK), which with its wide-ranging services and active networking is committed to promoting the rapid growth of this base for cutting-edge science and technology. 
The Heidelberg Technology Park is a place where startups, small businesses, major research facilities and global players work together, from research and development through to production; an ecosystem where science produces market-oriented research and international cooperation generates new prospects. The Technology Park is one of the most important medical sites in Germany. Numerous companies and research facilities in the industry work closely together, currently on an area of 6.6 ha and more than 80,000 m² of laboratory and office space.
