The Schaumaplast Group produces molded parts and packaging made of EPS (Styrofoam®), EPP, E-TPU and other interesting particle foams. Today the Schaumaplast Group operates in three countries: Germany, Poland and the USA.
Under the THERMOCON brand, Schaumaplast has its own business unit for the development, production and qualification of passive thermal packaging.
The complete solutions, thermo boxes and cooling elements are used for shipping temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical and biotech products.

Schaumaplast develops so-called pre-qualified thermal packaging solutions especially for pharmaceutical, biotech and medical products. They consist of a thermo box, cooling elements, outer carton and thermal documentation. The systems have been tested in the company's own climate chambers according to difficile and standardised temperature profiles. Thus, individual, customer-specific solutions can also be developed, produced and reliably implemented by THERMOCON’s internal thermal engineering.
A special feature of the THERMOCON systems is their modular and expandable options. Many systems can be flexibly enlarged using stacking frames and identical cooling elements are compatible for various packaging sizes. Different temperature ranges and duration times can be achieved only by changing the refrigerant pack. This simplifies handling and reduces storage and purchasing costs.

In addition to the practical complete systems, THERMOCON offers a wide product range of different cooling element types: from the inexpensive gel pack to the safe alternative for dry ice, the PCM pack. EPS thermo boxes in different sizes from 0.6 to 1275 litres capacity are also available. Optionally, they can also be made of Biomass Balance Styrofoam.
