Innovation Prize of the German BioRegions: Top research overshadowed by the corona pandemic

This year Innovation Prize of the German BioRegions honours applied research in the fields of plant protection, Alzheimer's disease and nano-DNA switches.

The 13th Innovation Prize has been awarded by the German BioRegions. Due to the Corona pandemic, the traditional prize has been assigned without a live presentation at the Deutsche Biotechnologietage.

Excellent applications have been received from all over Germany. Among those three equal prizes of 2,000 euros, have been awarded to scientists from Tübingen, Jülich and Garching (Munich area). With their thematic diversity, the prizes are also an example of the broad range of innovative research activities in the field, currently performed in Germany.
