Physicist Matthias Weidemüller takes over newly created department

The Senate of the University of Heidelberg elected a Prorector for Innovation and Transfer at its meeting on November 5, 2019. Prof. Dr. Matthias Weidemüller, physicist, will take over the newly created office. His responsibilities include the promotion of knowledge transfer and the initiation of cooperations and partnerships with industry, politics and society. The three-year term of office begins immediately.
